The region of Machakhela is well known for its breathtaking landscape and rich biodiversity of forests covering the surrounding slopes.
We will stroll around the region of flowing rivers and waterfalls. We continue climbing to the place from where we will see the border of turkey and military bases of both countries, in the same place we visit the Historical-Ethnographical Museum of Machakhela.
Collections of the museum (former mosque) cover the history of this region. There you will find: archaeological materials, numismatic, different things of Adjarian life and ethnography, paintings and craft work of local artists, different documental materials and photos.
In the end, we visit a local family with a local lunch, Georgian dances and Georgian singing, that includes lots of food, wine and homemade vodka (chacha).
